LOTUSINHAND SINGLES 2025
Lotusinhand Singles is a Cardistry tournament with a completely reimagined format and a prize pool with no upper limit. The rules, schedule and prize pool are detailed below.
Tournament Format
The tournament will open up with a public call for entries on 12/23 where each contestant may only enter with a single move and a single submission.
The tournament itself will be a double elimination tournament (brackets shown in image below). Each contestant will only be allowed to use one move per round. The final round will be the only exception where the round will be a best of 3 moves instead.
Odd-numbered lower bracket rounds will have extra rules for increased difficulty. They will be focused on Consistency, Versatility, and One-upmanship for LBR1, LBR3 and LBR5 respectively.
Tournament Rules
Video submission for each round (including entry) may only consist of one move. The only requirement for a move is that all decks and card(s) used start and end squared
All moves in all rounds must be performed with Lotusinhand decks and Lotusinhand decks only
Each entry must be filmed in a single take. Camera movements are allowed.
Simple editing such as adding music or color-grading is allowed so long as it doesn’t affect the judges’ ability to clearly view the move. But they will not affect the scores given
The following judges will each cast one vote to determine the winner of each bracket:
-Shivraj Morzaria (@shivshuffles)
-Lars Mayrand (@larsmayrand)
-Daniel Lin (@daniel96928)
6. All rounds (other than LB bonus rule rounds) will be judged using the following criteria:
-Execution
-Creativity
-Intent (used to judge the quality of aspects such as theme, completeness and purpose of a move)
7. LBR1, LBR3 and LBR5 will have bonus rules that introduce a fourth judging criterion that will be equally weighted with the remaining three criteria.
